Garage Phase II

In the Spring of 2025, the Flower Hill Center transformed our historic 1920s garage into a versatile multi-use space. Collaborating with architects from Lord Aeck Sargent, we restored the original brick walls, installed a new roof, leveled the concrete floor, and incorporated dynamic glass folding doors, creating a vibrant, climate-controlled environment. Now it is time for Phase II of our garage project. In the second phase of the project we are focusing on 3 main areas

Programming

The garage will be open as community space where gatherings, classes, and educational events can be held. With your help, we can open up the garage for free 65 days a year—giving more members of our community access to a space where they can lead and participate in programs that inspire, connect, and empower.

Landscaping

We hope to expand our garden with native plants to create a sustainable pollinator garden as well as grow our current edible garden into a teaching garden where community programs focused on sustainability and food education can be held.

Accessibility

Now that the space has been built we want to upgrade the garage so that everyone in the community can gather, learn, create, and connect. We will do this by adding a mini-split HVAC system for all-season use, accessible walkways for easier navigation, and outdoor lighting for safe and inviting evening events
