FAQs
Where can I park?

Our main gate entrance is tucked back from W. 6th Street between Winflo and Pressler on the north side of the street.

ADA parking is available on the grounds. All others will need to find street parking or use the paid lot just to the east of us.

Buses 4 & 663 stop immediately in front of Flower Hill's front gates at Cap Metro's 6th and Pressler stop. Bike riders welcome!

Please note that the driveway is historic and very narrow. Wide vehicles and vehicles with little ground clearance may scrape on the historic drive, so please use caution as you navigate through the iron gate entrance.

The driveway and the on-site parking are only open to those who have made an appointment to tour the museum.

Is there an ADA entrance?

ADA access is available via the east entrance, alongside the driveway. Tours begin at the historic rose arbor on the east side of the home.

Select first-floor historic rooms and exhibits are wheelchair accessible. Architectural and preservation concerns prevent us from providing elevator service to second-floor rooms; however, interpretive materials are available upon request for exhibits, displays, and the grounds. If you have any questions or concerns about accessibility, do not hesitate to contact us.

Why are tours only by appointment?

The house is currently undergoing a long-term restoration project. We’d love to show you behind the scenes, but currently, we are unable to facilitate tours at all times. Feel free to stroll or picnic on our grounds Monday-Friday, 9-1 pm without an appointment.
